Advocacy April is almost here, and we’re excited for opportunities to elevate adult education across Oklahoma!
Our main event will be Adult Education Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, April 1 starting at 10am, but will go until 4pm for those who need to arrive later or leave earlier. This is a great opportunity to meet with legislators, share the impact of adult education in Oklahoma, and connect with fellow adult education professionals from across the state.
We had a fantastic turnout last year and hope you’ll join us again this year. The event is open to both members and non-members, though OKAACE members will receive a free OKAACE t-shirt to show their support.
Students and graduates of adult education programs are also encouraged to attend. Their stories were incredibly powerful for legislators to hear last year, and it was a meaningful experience for them to see state government in action and understand the role they play in shaping it.
Registration is not required, but greatly appreciated so we can anticipate how many will be in attendance. Please take a minute to fill out the information below.
We hope to see you at the Capitol as we celebrate and advocate for adult education in Oklahoma!
